Affiliated Investigator & Collaborator with the South Bay Latino Research Center, San Diego, 2019-Present

These research studies focus on understanding health outcome disparities and inequities affecting US Hispanic/Latinos.

Through these projects, I mentor students and recent graduates on epidemiological and statistical methods to studying health inequities among Latino/Hispanic populations.

The Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL)

I lead various studies that examine the association of race-based and economic-based segregation on biomarkers and lifestyle behaviors.

I am also co-author of various studies that evaluate the associations between neighborhood-based risk factors and health outcomes.
